Our Purpose Notable Past Stepping Forward
Our mission is to inform and empower our community by highlighting and supporting Black-owned businesses.
We aim to share economic and educational resources that uplift and strengthen our neighborhoods.
By providing this information, we offer the public an additional choice for purchasing goods and services … one that contributes directly to the empowerment and success of Black entrepreneurs.
Empowering these businesses allows them to thrive, enhancing the services they provide and creating potential employment opportunities for the community.
Together, we can foster economic growth and prosperity within Black neighborhoods and the larger Black community.
At BlackPagesOnline.com, our vision is to help build a resilient ,self-sustaining and empowered community for current and future generations.
In addition to promoting primarily Black-owned businesses, we also spotlight corporate partners who wish to support, inform or provide products and services tailored to the interest of the Black community.
Our journey began in 1989 with the creation of our first hard copy publication, which debuted January, 1990 in Boston, MA.
The launch celebration was held in the historic Beacon Hill section at the African Meeting House, now known as the Museum of African American History.
Since 1995, we have proudly continued our mission in the digital space.
And now, the next milestone awaits … introducing The Virtual Directory. Stay tuned for this exciting development!
